WHAT IS REMEDIAL MASSAGE ?

Today, there are so many types of massage treatments that you can choose from, such as remedial massage, sports massage, relaxation or ‘Swedish’ massage, Thai massage, and Shiatsu massage, just to name a few. It can become confusing when trying to decide what you really need when booking a massage session.

 

Here I will explain what remedial massage is and how it can help you.  

Dry Needling 

Dry needling can be used to safely treat myofascial pain by using a solid filoment (acupuncture) needle into areas of tension or pain.

IASTM 

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) is a method of using tools to reduce pain and muscle tightness, improve range of motion and can help to speed up the recovery process following a soft tissue injury by reducing scar tissue and adhesions and increasing blood and nutrient supply to the injured area.
